Hello

I have HP UX 11.22 v2 installed in rp4410 server. Can any one tell me
how to change the length of Password (Minimum & Maximum).

Do you actually mean 11.22 or the far more common (and supported) 11.23
otherwise known as 11i v2?

Out of the box, check the /etc/default/security file for system wide
settings. Please note that, whilst it is possible to set a password of
greater then 8 characters, only the first 8 are used.

ya i have done this but this will change only minimum passwd length
What I want is minimum passwd = 4 and maximum = 10. Is it possible ?

You may be able to do it with a Trusted System, or by using an external
authentication mechanism such as LDAP. I have no experience with NIS so
don't know if that could help you either.
