| Hello everyone, I'm new to HP-UX, so I dunno if a tool like this is already available natively, but I've been searching and haven't found one, not even open source. I'm wondering whether anyone of you knows of any tools, preferably open source, which would suit my needs. I'm looking for a tool which would let me handle processes and processes groups, starting them, stopping them, and taking care of automatically re-spawning the ones which unexpectedly died. It would also give me the possibility to query at runtime for the state of the single processes and the groups in which they're contained. Thanks in advance to anyone who's going to give me an answer. Fabio |

Have a look at Dan Bernstein's daemontools: http://cr.yp.to/daemontools.html -- Stefaan A Eeckels -- Life itself is a misery and nobody can tell what can be of it. Those that can tell what can be of it are those who cannot tell us because they are far from us (dead). -- Very profound scam |
