| Did anyone get a ps/2 mouse to work on a C-series workstation that has a USB interface for the mouse? The ps/2 keyboard works fine but the mouse is another matter. -- Jim Hollenback jholly@cup.hp.com my opinion. |

How are you converting PS/2 (device) to USB (host)? According to: <http://www.hp.com/workstations/irg/risc/options.html> the supported solution for PS/2 devices is still the hp A7782A. I wasn't able to quickly determine if the A7782A is still on CPL. If not, I can suggest some roughly equivalent retail SKUs from the OEM supplier of that product: <http://www.ymouse.com/ymouse/whymsp.php>. If you are using the A7782A, chances are there's someone still at hp (i.e. not me) who might be interested in a potential software defect, or a patch for an odd mouse. Or you might just need the PDF manual for a corner case. Send me an email. Assemble address from parts below. I can't send you one because Google trashes addresses. -- Regards, Bob Niland mailto:name@ispname.tld http://www.access-one.com/rjn email4rjn AT yahoo DOT com NOT speaking for any employer, client or Internet Service Provider. |

Hi Bob, Can Google Groups (I assume you use the new (broken) BETA interface) show the Message-ID of an article? If so, you can do (example for Jim's article): http://groups.google.ca/groups?selm=Uaude.4804$PA6.658@news.cpqcorp.net Note "google.ca", NOT "google.com". The 'local' Google sites, like ".ca" et al, still use the old Google Groups interface, which *do* [1] show the poster's e-mail address. (For some strange reason, I could not lookup the article with the BETA interface ("Not Found"), so I couldn't see what you see.) [1] It's rather insulting that Google Groups, which is one of the biggest sources of *Usenet* spam, shields poster's e-mail addresses. So Usenet spam is apparently fine by Google, but e-mail spam isn't? |
