| hi, my current environment with mscg. I have 2 nodes, one is productive and the other is adoptive, with a one package concept. Doesnt the profiles of the SAP instance tags along with the virtual ip/hostnames instead of the physical ones? |

You should use the package IP Address/Hostname rather than the node address/name to access the application That way the clients/users will always find the application, irrespective of which node it is running on. Current SAP profiles is profile_node1. When node1 is switched over to node2, node1 will not be available anymore. Therefore, how the profile_node1 is going to make sense. Instead of tagging the profile_node1, it should be profile_virtualhostname as the previous posting mentioned. any advise? |
