Does GNU tar support files greater than 2GB?! On a HPUX 11.0.
The tar that comes with HPUX does not.
Yes, the directory does have support for LARGEFILES

I know there is a patch for HPUX 11.11 with the tar, but there is not one
for 11.0.
This is why I am hopping GNU tar will support it.

Hi Laura,

GNU tar does support files greater than 2GB.

For 11.00 the patch "PHCO_29229" says it adds support for files up
to 8GB.
