I'm not sure what you expect us to do, using glass balls? Your question is something like "I have a Mercedes. Does it run on Diesel or gas?". You didn't even provide the most basic details. First, IBM made more than one type of 10/100/1000Mbit Ethernet card, so in their indefinite wisdom they put a part number (FRU number) on their cards so that the exact type is identificable. The least thing you do is to look up the number and provide it to us, you also can enter it in google together with the term "HP-UX" to look for results which might give you some hints. Second, IBM is probably the biggest competitor of HP in the UNIX business. IBM has it's own UNIX systems running AIX. I'm not aware that there is *any* IBM made card that is supported by HP-UX, so I doubt that no matter what adapter you have you will get it running within HP-UX. Benjamin |

Please help me.Thanks Unless IBM provides one, or someone has written one using the HP-UX DDG, chances are there is no HP-UX driver for any IBM 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet adaptor. With few exceptions, the drivers which come with HP-UX or on the Applications Release CD's will only claim cards with HP subvendor and subproduct ID's on them. So, even if IBM OEM's their 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet from the same place as HP, the HP supplied drivers in UX will not claim it. rick jones -- No need to believe in either side, or any side. There is no cause. There's only yourself. The belief is in your own precision. - Jobert these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH... |
