Does glance also show only two CPUs? (You can get a trial version of glance via software.hp.com IIRC) rick jones -- No need to believe in either side, or any side. There is no cause. | Hi, This is a customer live machine and I will not be able to install any software. Is there any command to ensure if the CPU is disabled? machinfo command also shows 4 CPUs. I tried icod_stat but returns the error. icod_stat ERROR: iCOD is not supported on this class of system. Try man stm or look for the stm docs on docs.hp.com. > machinfo command also shows 4 CPUs. > I tried icod_stat but returns the error. > icod_stat > ERROR: iCOD is not supported on this class of system. Well, so much for that idea I would have thought that were a CPU disabled via FW that it would not appear at all when the OS was running. Are any processor sets defined on the system? rick jones -- denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance, rebirth... where do you want to be today? these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH... |

If it does, it is possible to disable/enable processors thru the GSP. Unfortunately, I don't recall the commands to do this. I DO recall that it did require a reboot for the changes to take effect if that is where the issue lies. |

Try man stm or > look for the stm docs on docs.hp.com. I would suggest using xstm (the X11 version of the tools) Here, on our old 10.20 system, it is /usr/sbin/xstm. (downside may be the bigger resource hunger due to X11) IIRC (x)stm is optional SW so it may be installed - or not. xstm will give you a "picture" of the machine with it's part. You can get additional info of parts with context menus to choose from. HTH Martin |
