| I recently bought a Saic HP Galaxy 1100 portable unix workstation It's basically a HP 712 in a ruggadized military case. It has a buil in LCD screen and I have been having problems getting CDE to displa properly. The machine came with HP-UX 10.10 installed and uses th HP-UX Vue environment. When I am running this version X-windows i centered perfectly on the screen at 1024x768 62hz flat panel mode Every other resolution is out of whack though even without X. recently installed HP-UX 11.0 on the box and when it boots into CD only the top left corner of the screen is visable. The rest is black I tried switching resolutions in the boot admin screen and in 1024x76 70 Hz the screen is visable except for the fact that it is shifte over and down about 1 inch. I have tried going into SAM and changin the X windows settings without luck. Changing the screen size in SA has no effect. Also I am unable to change the monitor setup because get the error that "setmon" doesn't support my screen. I actually hav 2 of these Galaxys so last night I sat and compared the settings o both(one running 10.10 Saic version the other 11.0). I couldn't fin any noticable differences in the kernel drivers or basic confi files. I am really at a loss of what to try next. I have trie messing around with the X0screens config file, but that didn't help Is there another config file I am missing or some way to position th screen on these Galaxys? I If I could just move the screen an inch t the left and up 1 inch on 768x1024 I would be set. Thanks for th help |
