| Hi, I downloaded the best suitable alsa driver for my RH 7.3 and started ./configure. It ran well a while but stopped with the error message: "/lib/modules/2.4.18-3/build/include/linux/version.h does not exist" and suggested to "install the full blown linux kernel source". So I looked at my RH cd's and found a lot on "*kernel*.rpm"'s. Which do I need to install to get this fixed? Thanks, NoKo "Careful with that VAX, Eugene!" |

I think redhat put them in the glibc-headers package, or something like that, at one time. -- Confucius: He who play in root, eventually kill tree. Do you have the kernel-headers installed? RedHat, at one time, put them in the glibc-headers package other distros make a seperate package for the kernel-headers. Without the kernel-headers installed you will find it difficult to compile most if not all packages. -- Confucius: He who play in root, eventually kill tree.
