Default ARC-1210/1220/1230/1260 RAID Cards on PCI-E

Does anyone have any experience running PCI-Express raid cards
on their machines? Does it help compared to PCI-X? I'm planning
to make a raid of 8 SATA disks in raid 0 configuration. (Speed
is my prime importance). I've been looking at the 9500-8MI from
3ware but these cards on PCI-E look very promising.
any experience or comments are welcome,

Thanks,
