| i have installed fedora core 4 on a HP Pavilion dv8000z and then i downloaded the driver and the installer from the ati website. the autoinstaller completed without problems and i am able to run with a 24 bit 1440x900 desktop without problems but when i run fglrxinfo it tells me that i am still using MESA what else do i need to do in order to get the ATI OpenGL module to load instead of MESA ? |

| Did you by chance install the Security enhance portion of the kernel during the install. I did and that's what screwed mine up. I have a ATI 9800 (no TV yet). I followed the instructions on the below web site and was avle to get my ATU working in GK mode. Just be sure to not install the security enhanceed kernel during the install. Inty....
