Default ATI opengl issues

i have installed fedora core 4 on a HP Pavilion dv8000z and then i
downloaded the driver and the installer from the ati website. the
autoinstaller completed without problems and i am able to run with
a 24 bit 1440x900 desktop without problems but when i run fglrxinfo
it tells me that i am still using MESA what else do i need to do
in order to get the ATI OpenGL module to load instead of MESA ?

Did you by chance install the Security enhance portion of the kernel
during the install. I did and that's what screwed mine up. I have a
ATI 9800 (no TV yet). I followed the instructions on the below web
site and was avle to get my ATU working in GK mode. Just be sure to
not install the security enhanceed kernel during the install.

Inty....
