| I need something to set 14 rack servers up and running with a minimal linux setup. The servers have all the same hardware configuration and i don't want any special customized option at a first time because i need to fine tune every machine depending on the services they are destined to. I would like to use Ubuntu server but this is not a mess. Can you guys suggest me any tool to accomplish this task? -- Domenico Testa |

For example, if you buy 50 PCs, with the same hardware, and you want to install the same linux systems on all 50 PCs, you will save a lot of time. Indeed, you just have to install on the first PC and create an image from it. For the 49 others, you can use the image file and Partition Image's restore function. Linux distribution : http://www.centos.org CentOS is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by a prominent North American Enterprise Linux vendor. CentOS conforms fully with the upstream vendors redistribution policy and aims to be 100% binary compatible. (CentOS mainly changes packages to remove upstream vendor branding and artwork.) CentOS is free. - -- Un saludo Alo [alo(@)uk2.net] PGP en http://pgp.eteo.mondragon.edu [Get "0xF6695A61 "] Usuario registrado Linux #276144 [http://counter.li.org] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFU0lCvzPPcPZpWmERAvM7AJ9GF+pmoyjicFIdxM7n/ErZEtCFlACfXI1c Tu5fzx6glFQUTf2DwGVIYCk= =X7c1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
