For the installation itself answer the questions, sit back and do something enjoyable. I use Redhat/Fedora as it was the the most popular when I started some seven years ago. Ubuntu appears to be very popular today. Just be certain to get the most recent release. -- What is foreseeable is intended. Before even attempting to install, boot a live CD, play about with it, start to get to know your way around. Probably the best bet for this is Ubuntu. The distribution itself is CD bootable as a live CD and has an install application on the desktop ready for you, when you've finished testing it. > I use Redhat/Fedora as it was the the most popular when I started some seven > years ago. Of course, when Hardy comes out, I'll be apt-get dist-upgrading. -- | spike1@freenet.co.uk | | | Andrew Halliwell BSc | "ARSE! GERLS!! DRINK! DRINK! | Thank you all for the tips on linux and newsgroups! The reason I've posted the same questions is that I wasn't sure where to get the right answer, as I've just subscribed. I would not do the same thing now.
