| I'm running gentoo with a grub boot loader and xp pro. My issue is once I go into windows, I can not restart the computer without first resetting the mbr via the live cd. When I am in linux, it reboots fine. I have noticed that windows is resetting the boot flag on the parition table to its partition when it should be grubs partition. My grub.conf is fine. What could be the cause of this issue? If I restart the computer after I'm in xp, the system will start to load grub and then restart into an endless cycle. Xp has the disk as non-dynamic, so I know thats not the issue. My linux kernel is fine as far as I know. / is reiser. Any idea on the resetting of the boot partition? I'm totally stumped. |
