| Hello... I am using Redhat 9. When I login using Chinese environment, I can use xcin to input chinese, in terminal or licq. But if I login using English Environment, after I pressed ctrl-space, the input bar simply does not come out. Is there any solution to it? I am using xcin version 2.5.3-pre2. The environment variable is set as: XMODIFIERS=@im=xcin LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 GDM_LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE=zh_TW.Big5 Thanks. |

Myself I have tested it only in a pure zh_TW environment, where it seems to work, but I really would need to get it work with zh_HK.big5hkscs, but can't find any fonts for zh_HK (only those iso fonts from gov.hk, but don't get that to work with xcin). //Aho |

I have tried so... but the input bar does not come out, only with the messages coming out: XCIN (Chinese XIM server) version 2.5.3-pre2. (module ver: 20010918, syscin ver: 20000210). (use "-h" option for help) xcin: locale "zh_TW.Big5" encoding "big5" xcin: XIM server "xcin" transport "X/" xcin: inp_styles: Root OverTheSpot > Myself I have tested it only in a pure zh_TW environment, where it seems > to work, but I really would need to get it work with zh_HK.big5hkscs, > but can't find any fonts for zh_HK (only those iso fonts from gov.hk, > but don't get that to work with xcin). > > > //Aho For me, in zh_TW environment, I used the font Big5. It works quite well in my zh_TW environment. The xcin can work properly there. |
