Default can't boot up

My pc doesn't boot up of a sudden, not even show anything in the
screen, the computer seems working and I'm sure there's no problem with
the monitor, but I can't see anything in the screen... the floppy drive
doesn't work so I can't use start up my computer with floppy disk; I
tried to download a boot disk for my windows ME on a CD-Rom but doesn't
work... (perhaps I've set the start up preference in floppy drive
before... not sure). I am really helpless and don't know what's
wrong... is there anyone can help?

Windows ME? Is this a linux question? Can you get to the bios setup menu?
Why are you sure there is no problem with the monitor? Can you plug it
into another pc?

Thanks for your reply!!!! I can hardly tell cos I can't see anything
from the screen, but the computer seems working as the noise and the
light seems working as normal.... the last time I can get it open, it
freezed in the window user ID and password page .... I tried to restart
and it never works thereafter.... I'm afraid I don't have another pc
with me but a mac... is there anything I can do to know what's up?

And... in fact, the keyboard doesn't light up as well.... hm, so I
think it's not the problem of the monitor... but I'm not sure if it's
the hardware or software problem...
