It occurs to me that reiserfs (latest number) may have some plugin module that allows one to fix max file size per user per dir. Ask them. Maybe they'll add it to their feature list. Peter |

They would not affect the size of any particular file, but would prevent a given user from using more than the amount of space (on a per file-system basis) assigned by the system administrator. You could also try to use the ulimit command, but it might be tricky to keep a user from changing it. -- .~.
