I appreciate it. > ...Mike What is your hardware? I am using an external modem/router driven by a network card. All that I needed to do with Mandrake Linux was configure the networking. The card accepted a standard kernel module. The PPPoE is entirely on the Web side of things, and is taken care of by the modem. The manufacturer (NetComm) said that a USB only modem (standard for Windows) wouldn't work under Linux. My ISP rep couldn't see why not. Doug L. -- ICQ Number 178748389.
