Configuring Tiny Honeypot

I wondered if anyone had any experience in using Tiny Honeypot on a
linux OS. Im currently attempting to set it up on Red Hat 8.0.

I am having trouble trying to test it before setting it up live, anyone
have any ideas on how i could test it on a private network?

Any help would be much obliged
