| Hi, I got a external disk to mount on my Mandrake 10 laptop by enabling pcmcia and modprobing the needed modules. I then mounted it with Mandrake Control Center. I formatted the disk and started using it. However, this being a laptop I would like to be able to get to my office, plug in the pc card, and have the disk mount as needed. I am not able to figure out how to have the card automatically detected when I put it in, and the mount the disk when it's found (kind of what happens when I put my wireless network card in the pcmcia slot). Could someone please point me in the right direction? TIA for help and/ or pointers. -- //ceed registered linux user #228949 at: http://counter.li.org/ |
