IIRC, later on in the installation procedures you are strongly advised to create at least one normal user as well. For that user, you also must specify a password. Then try with root and no password, failing that, boot in single-user mode and change the root password with passwd. See the documentation of Suse. If it didn't ask you for a password, there was something wrong with the install process. |
