Hi,

does anybody knows the default login for SuSE Linux 10.0 after installing
the os on a pc?

I do not know about SuSE Linux 10.0, but in the Red Hat, Fedora, and CentOS
distributions, there is no default. When installing, it requests a password
for the root account and, presumably you either picked something you would
easily remember or (as I do) wrote it down. IIRC, later on in the
installation procedures you are strongly advised to create at least one
normal user as well. For that user, you also must specify a password.

None of those have a default login.

Well, i was not ask for setting a login during the install process.

Then try with root and no password, failing that, boot in single-user
mode and change the root password with passwd. See the documentation
of Suse.

I would suggest a reinstall then. If it didn't ask you for a password,
there was something wrong with the install process.
