Default dosemu 1.2.1

Hi. I hope someone here can help. Just installed the dosemu 1.2.1 and
freedos binares on my Mandrake v10 (kernel 2.6) linux system. I followed
the README.bindist and created a /root/mydos/dosemu directory, which contain
dosemiu and dosemux. When I run /root/mydos/dosemu/xdoesemu from a KDE
koncole, no problem. I can run EDIT and see a mouse cursor.

If I run /root/mydos/dosemu/dosemu from the # console (runlevel:3, no
startx), I get an error:

SYSCALL: Error * no such file or directory * in file mouse.c, line 1998
expr = open(mice->dev, mode)
Error cannot open internal mouse device (null)

EDIT does not have a mouse cursor. [emumouse i] warns internal mouse
driver not set. Question. What do I need to do to set the internal mouse
driver?

Should I edit the mouse section in dosemurc? If so, how? I'm unclear about
the configuration specified in the README.bindist It says dosemu doesn't
use /etc/dosemu.config anymore. Do I want to [cp
/root/mydos/dosemu/bin/dosemurc /root/mydos/dosemu/dosemurc] or
[cp /root/mydos/dosemu/bin/dosemurc /root/mydos/dosemu/.dosemurc] or
[cp /root/mydos/dosemu/bin/dosemurc /root/mydos/dosemu/dosemu.config]?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...Dennis
