| Question: How do you get an external USB device to mount with Fedora Core 3? With Windows I just plug it in and BOOM it works. With Linux I plug it in and not a dam thing happens. Guess you can tell I'm a newbie...if you have syntax, links and advice I'm interested. Thanks for reading. |

Load the driver for it, push it in the slot, observe what device name it gets, and mount it. Then immortalize your work in the htplug scripts. Fedora core 3 comes with the functionality-just plug in and double click on computer, then mount the drive through a context menu or by double clicking on it. Kind Regards. |
