| I have a server running FEDORA Core2 with one NIC but several virtual IP'S So eth0 is 192.168.1.x eth0:1 192.168.1.xx eth0:2 192.168.1.xxx If I reboot my system and it comes backup the only active interface is eth0:2 My question is WHY!!!???? Is this a bug? My primary interface is on eth0 not eth0:2 this is a VIntf I am a little past newbie, but can somebody explain how to correctly configure a NIC with virtual interfaces and what is the purpose behind the "profile" box. This is really annoying to have to each time enable the interface that goes to "inactive" status after a reboot. Or should I not even use the GUI based tool to configure the NIC and just use the nedit to modiy the config files responsible for these settings? Thanks for reading.. |
