| I have a copy of the Fedora CD installation files on my laptop, and use that to install Fedora on my friends and families computers over the network via HTTP. It works really great. My dilemma is this: many of the packages on the CDs are not up to date. I can always install the updates after getting the machine up and running using up2date, apt or yum, but that's not as nice as simply updating the packages being served to the machines and being installed initially. Is there a simple way to get the updates from Fedora and have them overwrite the files in the distribution directory on my laptop? Thanks! --Hussam |

Dunno, but you should be able to install via kickstart, allowing you to run "yum -y update" from the %post part of the ks.cfg. -- Michael Heiming (GPG-Key ID: 0xEDD27B94) mail: echo zvpunry@urvzvat.qr | perl -pe 'y/a-z/n-za-m/' -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBZ+NeAkPEju3Se5QRAtZKAKCyrIkSl/0uW9E3jHRyVElLX4PkNQCfQWca CayHBnDRwOAfsrQzH7dI0to= =BcDy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
