| Hi, Over the weekend i set up a name server and dns on my fedora box, everything works appart from fetchmail. I can nslookup my external mail server, all the PC's on the network work correctly for the internet and dovecot can send e-mail. However fetchmail gives me the following error fetchmail: POP3 connection to pop.1and1.co.uk failed: temporary name server error. however doing a nslookup from a shell window returns the correct ip address Any one got any ideas? Thought it might be the resolve.conf but then i would have expected dovecot not to work correctly. Cheers Mike |

| Just in case anyone else has the same problem, it seams that fetchmail run in demon mode caches which nameserver it should use and until it was killed and restarted it does read from the new nameserver "Mike Stewart" <Michael.j.stewart@nospambaesystems.com> wrote in message news:44a9019c$1_1@glkas0286.greenlnk.net... > Hi, > Over the weekend i set up a name server and dns on my fedora box, > everything works appart from fetchmail.
