| Hi Guys I just set rh9 up on a machine with 2 ide drives on the primary channel and a cdrom on the secondary I manually configured the partitions with disk druid as follows: hda: /boot 200mb (1st partition on drive) / 7gb /home 10gb swap 2gb (it made this an extended partition) hdb: /clients /data /mp3 the install went fine but the system wont boot - after the bios screens it just stops saying "GRUB" or "LI" (I tried Grub and Lilo as boot loaders). I tried the "force primary partition" option when creating /boot, I tried linux rescue and used fdisk to make /boot the boot partition... that didnt seem to work either. I'm sure it's some terribly common, rtfm-type newbie thing I've done wrong, can anyone help? cheers Lucas |
