| Hello, I change my HDD and reinstalled linux(Redhat 7.3) on it. I also intalled netscape 7.1. I would like to know how to recover my old email from my previous disk (it was also the same linux and same netscape). I cannot start from the old disk, apparently the boot for linux does not work any more. Thank you for your help. Franck |

If you do not make backups, preferably daily, the time to start was just before you changed your HDD. A way that might work would be to install both HDDs in your machine, with your new HDD as the primary drive (since the other, you say, will not boot), and then copy from the old /var/spool/mail to the new one. Then start making daily backups. -- .~. | Thank you for your answer. /var/spool/mail is empty (file = 0 byte) I guess this is because I am using exclusively netscape for my email or maybe there something I don't know? Actually, with new HDD this is the same despite the nuumber of email that are store in the netscape mail. (Note: I am not talking about webmail, just application) I try to locate which file is modified when making modification in my netscape emails but could not find it. Any other idea? Franck.
