| Anyone know how to get Linux to recognize a 250gb drive? The drive is a Western Digital WD2500JBRTL I've tried all kinds of variations of: linux disk=/dev/hda,x/y/z linux disk=x,y,z linux disk=lba linux disk=lba32 linux disk=lba42 I even tried using a Highpoint Raid card with a single drive attached (recognizes large drives). But Linux still only sees 33gb - not even 137gb. The box is a 700mhz Intel Pentium III. Windows recognizes the drive, but not linux. I have another drive (120gb) that seems to work fine (although it doesn't pass the 137gb mark). I tried posting on the comp.os.linux.redhat newsgroup, but apparently no one there knows how to do it. |

Are you sure there isn't a BIOS setting or a jumper that limits the drive to 33GB or 4096 cylinders? -- Incrsease your earoning poswer and gaerner profwessional resspect.
