I'm not quite sure what the error was... trying posting the exact message you got. I believe redhat only checks for some amount of memory, you didn't state how much memory you have. |

Their Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems are only up to release 4. > It say a error about hardware . I do not know if there are any clairvoyants in this newsgroup or not. I have done a little of that. But I cannot manage to see the hardware error message you got. But one thing is pretty certain. If you have a hardware problem, you must figure out what it is and fix it. The error message is trying to tell you what it is. It is important for you to read it and, if you ask for help on the UseNet, to copy it _exactly_ in your posting. Do not guess what it means and paraphrase it, _copy it exactly_. If the machine is up enough, copy and paste it into your post. > Now i > used cpu > > petium 4 2.66 ghz 64 bit and HDD SATA SEAGATE 80 ghz .I formatted > enough partition so > > linux requirement but it is not improved .Can you help me to setup it . No. What needs improvement? > Thank > > very much!! > By the way, in English, it is customary to place the period at the end of the sentence before the following space, not after it. I.e., Like this. And not like this .Do you see what I mean? -- .~. The last Red Hat Linux was 9 (and no point releases). Their current product is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. So I have not the slightest idea to what distribution and release you refer. This makes it very difficult to help you. > ,it say error" could not > uncompress second stage ramdisk . You persist in putting the space before the period, instead of following the custom of putting it after. This makes it difficult to read. > this is probably on hardware error Your quixotic punctuation is driving me crazy. I think you mean that the error message is "[C]ould not uncompress second stage ramdisk. This is probably [a] hardware error while reading the data[. T]his may be c[a]used by hardware failure or linux ke[r]nel by" Even with my guesses, this is still pretty much incomprehensible. Please copy the error message and paste it into your posts. Your impressions and paraphrases will not be accurate enough to convey the needed information so someone might help you. > while reading the data this may be coused by hardware faiture or linux > kenel by" and later another messanger "Fatal error giving hard to > second stage" This, too, is a quixotic paraphrase of what it may have said. You must be more accurate. >i dontn't known what's error .I hear some person say > that "it's not have drive hard ware" .Can you help me(my hard disk is > SATA SEGATE 80 GB).thank > My guess is that you have scrambled the /boot/grub/grub.conf file and the related files there. This assumes you are running something like Red Hat Linux 9 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 or 4.
