| I'm new to Linux, I have a Toshiba that I would like to use with Linux. Can anyone tell me where on the web I can find a file that I would download on this Toshiba and then that I could run as a setup file ? Ideally, I need something that is pretty automatic and straight forward. Many thanks |

Learn to use the package/installation tools. Knoppix is OK, you can run directly from a CD. Alternatively install it on a HD. Or go for Xandros Linux. It costs a few $. http://www.xandros.com/ // moma |

I need to perform a boot on a floppy disk, which I did (Debian). Question: once the 5 floppies have been installed on the Laptop, is there anyway to perform the rest of the install from a CD ? if, so, where can I find such CD ? obviously, it won't need to be bootable, but will need some sort of setup.exe file. |
