| i use samsung monitor to install the linux, but when i change the monitor to Acer, startx show a mess screen, may i know how to configure the linux to accept new monitor and run ok in startx, i'm using Redhat 9. |

With the 'configuration tools' no (AFAIK), but nothing stops you to go to /etc/X11 and modify by hands the XF86Config file. Make a copy before messing with it.
