Default How to recognize a usb webcam??

Dear all,

I'm in the process of installing a philips spc1300nc webcam
on a debian-lenny distro (2.6.24-1-686) via uvcvideo.
All went well, lsusb gave my cam, luvcview -f jpg gave unstable
images, well things on their way --

Then I went to amsn, installed latest verion via svn, a three
dozen packages (well I couldn't find gstreamer and farsight
-- synaptic says he loads them, but when compiling amsn,
an error occurs because these packages are missing --
I couldn't find gst-register or gstreamer-register ???)

Anyway, the big bad surprise:
*my webcam is not recognised anymore* ???

Default Re: How to recognize a usb webcam??

easy enough:

rmmod ehci_hcd
modprobe ehci_hcd

as root :-)
Best,
A.O.
