| Hi, I have a machine with dual boot ( WinMe and Redhat 8.0). I want to start from scratch with suse 10.0 (No need to keep the old stuff). So I burned the 5 cd's for suse 10.0 and then I put the first cd into drive and did a boot. I do set language, and then I select 'new installation'. The system reboots and I have to do the same thing again. This scenario will happen over and over. I never get any further. Do I need to reformat the HD before trying to install suse 10.0? All hints on how to approach the problem is very helpful. cheers, //mikael |

And can you scrub the Linux partitions to avoid confusion by the OS, that may probe the available partitions and say "this one is Linux, it must be SuSE, let me break things by probing it!" |
