After installing Fedora 3, I found there are two smillar files , passwd and
passwd-
why fedora 3 has two password files?

can I delete passwd- file? It has nothing to do with system?

passwd- is an automatic backup of passwd.

This backup file is associated with using vipw to edit your /etc/passwd
and /etc/shadow files. It's harmless, and useful if you make an error
while editing those files.
