Hello,
I need to install JOnAS on a linux plaform Red Hat (ver 7.3) and I've
got two questions about it.

1) The Red Hat version used is old. Do I have to use an old version of
JOnAS or any would work?

2) The goal is to create web services. Is Tomcat necessary with Jonas
in this case?

Hideously so. It past its end of life almost two years ago. I would _very_
_strongly_ advise getting a more recent OS.

Look at the dependencies for it. You can certainly run it on RH7.3, but you
might need to upgrade a lot of components.
