I had problems to boot from the harddisk (debian 2.2.20 )

and I still have after installing

a newer kernel (2.4.18).

I have to boot from Floppy with still the kernel 2.2.20 on it

what can I do?


when the pc was installing the kernel it say the this:

package mbr.
I hope that your master boot record or boot manager does boot the
active partition. If not,
you have to acquire the package mbr and install it.




( And I tryed this to install but Debian says that it is already
installed)
