Default newbie - install X-Windows using tasksel
My OS is Debian3.0.r2
I installed X-Windows and desktop environment using tasksel.
Why the OS is still running in "plain-mono" command line mode?
Am I running the shell in full screen mode?
How can I get to the user friendly environment?

Try to run startx. If it works, you probably should install an graphical
login manager like xdm, wdm, kdm or gdm. If it doesn't work, configure
X properly (use dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86).
