But i can't install them. rpm --install nvidia-blahblah.rpm Then edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 , as suggested by the nvidia website. Then restart X (press control-alt-backspace to kill X, and it restarts) and then you can run "nvtv" and make it switch to TV out mode. > > Can anybody help me? > Thanks Ramon > |

Is this a joke? What did you download? What commands did you run? What was the result? What did you think should have happened instead? Someone might be able to help you, but not if you don't tell us what the problem is... -Anthony http://nodivisions.com/ |

Well if you have done this, you would know what he was telling you .. He was saying nvidia's instructions are too cryptic and puzzling, and he thinks there ought to be a better way. I think the confusion comes from nvidia telling you to configure the X server to run to TV Out permanently by editting XF86Config, While its much better to run a simple little program called "nvtv" to switch it to tv out when ever you want, without any editting of XF86Config. |

Perhaps, but it was still a very vague post; a person is much more likely to get help if he explains the specific problem he's having. > He was saying nvidia's instructions are too cryptic and puzzling He may well have thought that, and you may think that, but he most certainly did not say that. -Anthony http://nodivisions.com/ |
