problem with webmin sendmail M4 module with debian 3.0r1

I am running Debian 3.0 r1

I configure it using webmin 1.10.

the problem is that under the sendmail option the if you want to
re-configure sendmail using the M4 module of webmin it fails with

Failed to build configuration:
NONE:0: m4: ERROR: EOF in string

If I use the shell and issue sendmailconfig that works fine.

Any ideas?
