Default Problems installing SuSE 9.0 on Dell PowerEdge 6300

I'm trying to install SuSE 9.0 on a Dell PowerEdge 6300 server.
This has a PERC 2/SE RAID controller (Really LSI Logic Megaraid).
I've managed to install Red Hat 9 without any problem.
When I try SuSE 9.0m I do a manual install and add drivers for "megaraid2" and
the the network and other SCSI cards (eepro100 and aic7xxx).
It installs OK, but on the first boot it can't see the system disk.
It gives the error:

VFS: Cannot open root device "sda2".

The disks are set up as one RAID 5 logical drive.

Anyone have any experience of this hardware with SuSE?
