Trying to install woody on machine with a promise IDE Raid controller.

There is a Redhat driver and Suse driver available for the controller, could
somebody advise or point me in the right direction on best way to do this

Install onto standard IDE first (unless you have another debian box handy
with which to compile the promise kernel module), then you can put the
kernel module onto a floppy, and let debian load it for install proper.

Promise DO supply sources, you see. They only do pre-compiled for suse,
turbo and redhat, but the sources are there for everyone else.
(When downloading the driver, select "other" as linux distro)
