| Hello, I tried installing Ubuntu 6.06, Suse 10.2. In both cases, however, mouse and keyboard freeze during installation. That is, I can still use the keyboard to respond to the first question about the installation / tests / etc; then, the installation starts with unpacking the kernel, etc; then, it waits on the next question for keyboard / mouse input, which I cannot provide. I have a PS/2 compatible mouse and a PS/2 Natural Media keyboard from Microsoft. They both work on XP Pro on the same machine. So, I looked into the user communities, but I couldn't find any reason, not to say a workaround (other than hammering on the keyboard in vain hope or using USB). Does anyone know a workaround for PS/2's, or which distro version fixes that problem? Thanks, Bjoern |
