| Are you fscking the correct device? Is it possible you're not specifying the correct file system type (ie.n ext3, xfs)? That failing, if you can't mount the device for backing up, you are pretty much S.O.L. Sorry. The next thing for you to do is figure out why and how it became corrupted.
