| I would like to try GNU/Linux, but I need some information on how to setup my system. I have 2 H/D the master is a duel boot 40gb with windows 2000 pro and Windows XP home and my slave is a 30gb which I use for just downloading to but I can use the master for that, so what I would like to know is it ok to put GNU/Linux on to the slave, if so how do I boot to the slave drive. Is there any docs on the internet tell you how to do this.. Thanks -- bob |

Tell the installer to install to /dev/hdb, install Grub or Lilo to the MBR of /dev/hda. If you see a box for lba, make sure it is checked. Read the documentation related to the installation of your distribution. -- | Take note of the toes you step on today as they may be connected to | the ass you have to kick tomorrow. --Ben | | | | |
