What about when a portion of your revenue depends on the ability to send and receive faxes? And what about us broadband users who frequently find ourselves in situations where the only option is POTS? |

FWIW - I can send and receive Faxes using my Broadband Cable Internet connection, along with my installed PCI 3Com USRobotics Winmodem 56K (Data/Fax/Voice) - and the related software it came with. I also know of other people who use the "Same" cable service with stand-alone Fax machines. I have Internet, Voice, and CableTV all through my local Cable Service. That said, I am NOT advocating that everybody switch NOW...Instead; I am very grateful to have these services available (had Dialup for years and years), whereas there are still many to whom, highspeed Internet (either DSL, Cable, or FIOS) is STILL not available to them -- let alone the standard CableTV Boobtube. |
