Default RedHat Installation

I m downloading linux from ftp-linux.cc.... and i m downloading the first
two packages.. can someone tell me if more are needed for a CS major
student.. Also my laptop has XP os.. I need to partition my hard drive
into XP and redhat.. can someone help or assist me doing these tasks?

First two pkgs? Get the all three ISOs.

shrike-i386-disc1.iso
shrike-i386-disc2.iso
shrike-i386-disc3.iso

Should be enough. You can get the src rpms on an ad hoc basis.

here and someone who knows would help you.
