Default Rxvt & xterm stopped working after installing new kernel
After installing new kernel (2.6.11.7) I've been unable to run xterm or
rxvt, after shutting down X there are error messages at the console "rxvt
couldn't obtain control of TTY".

Have I missed something during the compilation or how am I to solve this
problem?

Linux 2.6.11.7 has some issues, and I am currently working out an
install guide to help all of us, including myself that have run across
issues. It will be a Simple Guide, detailed and full of reminders. Also
dual entries for things for those who like to skip things. As soon as
the other person I am consorting wiht on this gets back to me, I will
add to or edit the text in progress and then revise it and it will be
the "Kernel Install Guide" 0.1
