Default Scrolling through Gnome pdf viewer

Is it possible to set up Gnome pdf viewer to scroll through the
document when I press "page Down" or some other key? Currently, "page
down" always takes me to the top of the page. If I am viewing full
document width I never see the bottom of the page.

Holding down the cursor over the vertical scroll bar works, but is
tedious.

Thanks

Clive

I don't know about that, but if you're wanting to view large PDF files
(tens of MB or greater, and / or pages of hi-res scans) then Acrobat is
the only way to go - for some reason all the other Linux PDF viewers seem
to be slooooow.

Beware that the installer for 5.09 on Adobe's site is currently broken and
changes permissions on the directory that you install from; either extract
the install files into their own directory under /tmp (where you can
delete once installed anyway) or if you extract straight into /tmp (as I
did) you'll need to change /tmp's ownership and permissions back once the
installer's run (thanks for that one, Adobe! I only noticed when system
processes started falling over because they could no longer write to /tmp)

Still, at least flicking between pages on big files is instant now!

cheers,

Jules
