| Hi Group! I am using a Red Hat Linux ES 3 server where PHP running with APACHE & MySQL & SAMBA. last few days I notice that the server suddenly stoped [ It's 2-3 times every day & when I use with a good Hard ware configuration & My other linux server running cool on that configuration]. I already cleared the log files of DATABASE & APACHE. But Still I faceing the problem > is there any log file created on LINUX OS itself. or, some thing else. Please help me. |

Do you mean one of the servers RUNNING on the machine stopped responding or stopped running? If so, which server? You mentioned 3 in your post, samba, mysql and apache. -- __________________________________________________ ____________________________ | spike1@freenet.co.uk | | |Andrew Halliwell BSc(hons)| "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't | | in | suck is probably the day they start making | | Computer science | vacuum cleaners" - Ernst Jan Plugge | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

I find it helpful to search "messages" for "restart", then work backwards to what caused it to hang. Another useful one is "dmesg". -- Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.
